Justice League: War is a 2014 direct - to - video animated superhero film based on the storyline Justice League: Origin by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee. The movie is the first installment to the DC Animated Movie Universe. It's produced by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation and distributed by Warner Home Video. The movie was written by Heath Corson and directed by Jay Oliva.

The story is Darkseid has launched an invasion on Earth. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Shazam and Cyborg must join forces to stop him from taking over the planet.

  • Negatives

Believe it or not my only complaint is there's no Aquaman. I wanted him in this movie because in Justice League #4 of The New 52 there's this awesome moment where he summons sharks to eat an army of Parademons. That would have made the movie even more awesome. Although on the bright side they did replace him with Shazam and he's cool.

  • Mix

Nothing to say so I'm moving on.

  • Positives

The art style is a huge improvement from the previous film The Flashpoint Paradox. All the characters have a good design to them.

Justice League: War continues the tradition of having fantastic action scenes. The best scenes are Superman vs. Batman & Green Lantern & the Justice League's fight against Darkseid.

Despite me complaining about Aquaman not being in the movie among other changes to the comic. It still does a good job keeping somethings true from the story arc it was based on.

The voice acting in this movie is pretty good. However Batman's voice will take some time to get use to as the film goes on. It's not a bad voice I'm just saying by the middle maybe even the end you’ll grow to like it.

The humor here is very funny. Two of the best moments are the banter between Batman & Green Lantern and Shazam comparing Darkseid's name to something you would use for World of Warcraft.

There is also a post - credit scene that I feel like is good set up for their next movie. What happened was Orm is holding the now dead King of Atlantis and declares war on our world. That got me really excited.

Justice League: War has a better art style than Flashpoint Paradox, the action here will definitely make sure you don't get bored, still stays true to the source material, the voice acting is good, and it has a nice sense of humor, and that post - credit scene does it's job setting up the next film. My only complaint is no Aquaman.

My final rating for this movie is Good
