Raiders of The Lost Media - 1,000 Ways to Lie

Related image

Welcome everybody to another edition of Raiders of The Lost Media. And this time I am doing another TV show and this time it's one even I knew existed because well I saw commercials for it. So enough of this opening statement let's get to it.

Part One - What was 1,000 Ways to Lie?

1,000 Ways to Lie was a television special and satire of the popular show 1,000 Ways to Die. The special aired on March 3, 2010 with the episode titled Natural Born Liars on Spike (now renamed Paramount Network). The special was met with mostly negative reviews.

Part Two - Content

The format of the show is slightly different from 1,000 Ways to Die. It included a sped up narration similar to 1,000 Ways to Die but replacing the death concept with lying. The pilot contained six segments that reenacted the most outlandish lies every told along with experts who would explain the science behind the lie and how the person was found out. At the end of each segment a picture of the incident is shown with the text reading Way to Lie # very close to 1,000 Ways to Die's Way to Die #. The special was eventually put of Spike's website with the description reading

" A drug smuggler uses her womanly assets to hide the goods; a celebrity seeker pulls a bunny out of her rabbit hole; an ex-con cleans up the streets; a henpecked hubby winds up wishing he was dead; a horny horn player plays his heart out and a con man discovers he's cut out for the job".

Due to updates on Spike's website, the special can no longer be viewed.

Part Three - The Intro

The only piece of 1,000 Ways to Lie to surface on the internet is it's intro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftofsKKMviw#action=share.

So that's going to do it for this edition of Raiders of The Lost Media. I'll have another one of these and this time I go back to lost comic books and it's all about the popular video game Overwatch. It will go up on June 21st.
