Jurassic Park III is a 2001 science-fiction adventure film as well as the third movie in the Jurassic Park film series. It's produced by Amblin Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures. Jurassic Park III was written by Peter Buchman, Alexander Payne, and Jim Taylor and directed by Joe Johnston.

The story is it's been four years since The Lost World: Jurassic Park, the world is well aware of the existence of cloned dinosaurs on the island of Isla Sorna but their prohibited from going anywhere near that place. One day Dr. Alan Grant is visited by a wealthy couple who want a tour around the island. But something about this couple seems off and Grant wants to know what it is. Can Dr. Grant get his answers before him and everybody else are the next meal for the vicious predators?

  • Negatives

The only thing I couldn't stand in this film is Téa Leoni as Amanda Kirby. Her character did absolutely nothing of interest throughout the whole thing. The only thing she does scream and swing her arms. And that part of her character got really old really quick.

The filmmakers should have done a little bit more work on the CGI. Now there are plenty of parts in here where the CGI is quite good but other times not so much. The absolute worst effect was the green screen in the beginning of the film, that was just an eye swore.

  • Positives

One thing I enjoyed in Jurassic Park III is all of the change scenes with the humans and the dinosaurs. They were all very exciting and awesome. Those scenes were definitely the highlights of the movie.

I also give credit to Sam Neill's performance. He played his character (Alan Grant) perfectly. It's like he never lost beat even though at this time it was 8 years after the first Jurassic Park film.

Another quality of the film I enjoyed was how resourceful Eric was. He had quite few ways to survive from the dinosaurs.

I personally don't think Jurassic Park III is the worst film in the franchise but it is the weakest out of the series. The film gives you great chase sequences, Sam Neill performance was perfect, and I love they made Eric resourceful. The CGI definitely needed more work in some areas but other times it's good. The one and only thing I hated was Amanda Kirby.

My final rating is Okay
