Disclaimer: I could be wrong on some details. So take this post with a grain of salt.
Warning: The Subject I'm About To Tell You Is Very Distributing. If You Are Squeamish I Recommend You Leave Now!
Welcome back to Raiders of the Lost Media and boy is today's topic...dark.
Part One - What Was Mythbusters?
Part Two - The Cannibal Mouse
In 2006 for Episode 55 of the show titled Steam Cannon had one myth which was saying there's more nutrition in cardboard than cereal. During a Q&A session with Adam Savage he said there was an experiment that never made it to air. According to him they had three lab mice in three different groups. Group 1 was mice eating normal mice food, Group 2 were mice eating sugary cereal and Group 3 were mice eating cardboard box pellets. During this experiment Jamie noticed that the cardboard group were acting strange. Then when the came back they saw that the one of the cardboard mice ate the other two mice.
Part Three - Forever Banned
Mythbusters was a science show that would take a myth and
replicate it. When the experiment was over there would be three outcomes Busted
meaning the myth can’t be replicated, Plausible meaning the myth can be copied but you might have to change a few things and Confirmed meaning the myth can be recreated. The show ran from
Jan 23, 2003 to Mar 6, 2016 having a grand total of 15 seasons and 282
episodes.

Part Three - Forever Banned
Due to it's distributing nature Discovery refused to let that part of the episode air. In an interview Adam admits to showing a rough cut of it at "Northern Michigan Tech" probably meaning either Northern Michigan University or Michigan Tech University. When Discovery found out they told Adam to never show the segment again. Because that part of the episode shows graphic animal violence it's very unlikely that Discovery will ever let this resurface mainly because Mythbusters has always tried to keep it family-friendly and not show harm to any kind of living beings.
Part Four - Adam Tells All
Nothing to say here just thought I should give you a link to which Adam talks about the experiment https://youtu.be/ziQWDnFSPt8
So what I told was pretty gruesome but don't worry next Raiders of The Lost Media will be more light hearted next time. I know exactly what I have in mind but all I'm going to do is give a a hint. The next post will be something about Star Wars.
