NOTE: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Hi guys. Welcome to yet another easter eggs post and this time I tell you about the easter eggs/references in I noticed in Avengers: Endgame. Once again this are just the ones I noticed not every single one. With that out of the way let's get started.
When the movie first starts we see Hawkeye (Clint) and his daughter doing some archery. This is a nod to the character Kate Bishop. Who would latter take the Hawkeye mantle in the comics.
After Tony and Nebula are rescued from space by Captain Marvel, Tony is arguing with Steve (aka Captain America). At one point Tony mentions how Cap said they lose together but didn't. The whole we'll lose together line is a throwback to Avengers: Age of Ultron.
After the argument the Avengers travel to where Thanos is hiding out. We that is living as a simple farmer after what he did in Infinity War. This is a nod to something very similar to what happened to him after the comic event series The Infinity Gauntlet.
When Thor decapitates Thanos Rocket ask him what did you do Thor response with "I want for the head". This is clear nod to when Thanos told Thor he should've gone for the head back in Avengers: Infinity War.
We get two cameos from Captain America's post-snap support group. One of them being from one of the directors that being Joe Russo and the creator of Thanos himself Jim Starlin.
When Scott comes out of the Quantum Realm that he was left stranded back in Ant-Man and The Wasp, we see that the van has the storage number of 616. 616 is the number for the main continuity for Marvel Comics.
When we catch back up with Tony Stark after the five year later gap, we see him and Pepper have a daughter named Morgan Stark. Morgan is a character in the Marvel but she is a he, Tony's cousin, and his bend on taking Stark Industries from Tony.
When we finally see Clint again he has now is sporting a different costume and going by Ronin. Ronin is indeed a Marvel but he was never one of Clint's aliases.
When the team is having a conversation of time travel Rhodey and Scott list off time traveling movies. Three of those being Back to the Future, The Terminator, and Hot Tub Time Machine.
When the Avengers travel back in time to get their own Infinity Gems, Captain America meets up with Hydra agents in a elevator. This is a easter egg to Captain America: The Winter Soldier's awesome elevator scene. When Cap gets the space stone from Hydra agents he says "Hail Hydra". As both a way not to rat them and as a nod to the very stupid moment in comics when he said exactly that.
When Captain America runs into his 2012 self and starts to fight him, his 2012 counterpart says "I can do this all day". A line he said in both Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: Civil War.
Throughout the movie Rocket is seen wearing his classic comic accurate suit. But during the time travel part of the film when him and Thor travel to Asgard back in Thor: The Dark World the Asgardians call him "rabbit". A nod to when Thor called him the same thing back in Avengers: Infinity War.
Due to Scott and Tony failing to capture the Tesseract back in 2012, Tony and Steve travel back to 1970. During their search we get a glimpse of Ant-Man's (Hank Pym) classic comic helmet.
During the fight with Thanos Captain America picks up and fights with Thor's hammer. This is a nod to when it happened to Steve in The Mighty Thor #390 and Fear Itself #7.
We finally he Captain America say his classic of "Avengers Assemble".
During Tony's funeral we see Happy ask Tony's daughter Morgan if she's hunger. Shes responses with yeah then Happy ask her want she wants and she says cheeseburgers. This is a reference when Tony wanted the same thing back in Iron Man (2008).
After the funeral Thor a boards the Guardians of the Galaxy's ship and he says they are the 'Asgardians of the Galaxy". A clear reference to the comic series of the same name.
So those were all of the easter eggs I noticed in Avengers: Endgame. With that being said that's going to do it for me. Come back on Thursday, May 2nd. The main topic for that post is why I joined the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement. Until then enjoy the rest of your day.
