Road to Transformers: Rise of the Beasts - Transformers: The Last Knight Review

Well folks, here we are, the end of the Bay era of Transformers movies.

Transformers: The Last Knight is a sci-fi action movie based on the Hasbro toyline and the fifth movie in the series. It was produced by Paramount Pictures, Hasbro Studios, di Bonaventura Pictures, Huahua Media, The Weying Galaxy, and The H Collective and distributed by Paramount Pictures. Transformers: The Last Knight was written by Akiva Goldsman, Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Ken Nolan and directed by Michael Bay.

The story is it's been five years since the battle in Hong Kong, and transformers good or bad are still being hunted, only difference this time is nobody is using them for scrap. This soon proves not to be the biggest threat when both humans and transformers find out Cybertron is coming to Earth. Now Cade Yeager and his allies must find a staff that can stop this.

  • Negatives

I've got nothing. Just move along.

  • Mix

For a majority of the movie was the pacing wasn't too bad, it was actually pretty good. However, there was a time, probably somewhere near or during the third act you can start to feel that runtime. Now the story actually isn't bad, it's a pretty cool story, what it needed was more balancing. Cause you've got the search for the staff, Optimus Prime meeting his creator/being brainwashed, and MegaTron and his new band of Decepticons. MegaTron gets the least amount of attention to the point where he and his minions just disappear for the majority. Prime's brainwashing wraps up pretty quick and he was barely evil. The majority of this was the journey. I think what should've happened was, keep the staff search but don't give us every little step by step process, while at the same time, the Decepticons are on their trail, while also showing us Optimus struggling not to be turned evil, and so on and so forth. I think had that happened the story/overall movie might have been better received.

  • Positives

One thing to like about the movie is once again the special effects. More so than last time. Cause in the last movie while I still liked them, I still noticed somethings looked off. This time, didn't have an issue.

Another enjoyable thing was the humor. Like always it's not groundbreaking comedy, but still found it to be fun. Especially Cogman, I actually thought he could be pretty hilarious. In a dark kinda way.

What I also thought added to the movie's quality was the mythos. I found that transformers technology being mistaken for magic and even more history of transformers being on Earth to be interesting. Especially the former. Kinda wish we got a spin-off out of that as suppose to what they're doing now.

The last thing I'll write about is the action. While it's not the big grand finale Michael Bay ended on, it was still pretty awesome. And much like before, Bay saves the best for the final battle, it still didn't top the Chicago battle, but it does come in a good second place.

Honestly, I feel as though The Last Knight got way too much hate. Some of the complaints are valid, but from my point of view, it isn't as bad as people make it out to be. But hey, if you just can't get behind this movie, more power to ya.

My final rating is, Okay.

Alright, only one more movie to go and this road will be over. Come back on Thursday, Jun 1st, where I'll review the Marvel comic book event, Spider-Verse. That'll be in celebration of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Until then, enjoy the rest of your day.

The Little Mermaid (2023) Review

The Little Mermaid is a fantasy musical movie, a live-action remake of the 1989 movie, both of which are based on Hans Christian Anderson's story of the same name. It's produced by Walt Disney Pictures, Lucamar Productions, an Marc Platt Productions and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The Little Mermaid is written by David Magee and directed by Rob Marshall.

The story is Ariel has a curiosity not only the human world, but what it would be like to be a human. Using this curiosity to her advantage, the evil Ursula makes a deal with Ariel to give her just that. What she doesn't know is Ursula's just doing this for revenge. Now Ariel must not only need to complete the deal, but stop the sinister sea witch.

Initial Reaction

Now even though I wasn't agreeing with a lot of the changes, I was still willing to give this a chance.

Cons

One really bad thing about the movie is the songs. The classics aren't safe, those changes (and those aren't the only changes) hurt the songs. So when you hear 'Kiss the Girl', you can't enjoy as much as the original, because of the unnecessary changes. As far the newer songs...there's nothing special. They either fall into forgettable like Prince Eric's song (yeah Eric gets a song), or incredibly awful like 'The Scuttlebutt'. If any of you were the lucky ones who didn't even hear a small snippet of that song, keep it that way. Don't look it up, just don't. It's not worth it. Which brings me to the overall look of the movie. It really felt like this movie had an identity crisis. It's like it wants to be as bright and vibrant as the animated original, but then you have scenes where it's trying to be realistic. I get that the teaser trailer got a lot of backlash because of its coloring, but you know what, I would've much rather preferred if they chose either the initial coloring from the teaser or bright. Because doing both at the same time, like I said before, it give the movie an identity crisis. Then there's the changes, oh boy the changes. And no I'm not just referring the casting of Halle Bailey. I'm talking story changes. One change being Triton and Ursula are now siblings. Guess what, that piece of the story, went nowhere. It's said then never brought up again. So that was pointless. Then you have the whole kiss deal, where Ursula also makes Ariel lose her memory whenever she's getting close to her goal. Why? Ariel's already struggling with not having a voice, adding a memory erasing aspect, just makes it convoluted. But the biggest downside to these changes not only being unnecessary or convoluted, is in an effort to satisfy that annoying politically correct, woke crowd (who were never truly gonna see the movie to begin with) is now, it makes Disney seem like they have no idea what made the original 1989 animated movie so great. Such as that great development with Triton, that's gone. By the end of the movie, he's given no reason as to why he shouldn't hate humans anymore.

Middle Ground

The only mixed feelings I had with the movie was the effects and acting. The effects in some scenes actually look good, other times it really needed some more work put into it. As for the acting, most of the cast does just fine. Nothing spectacular, just fine. The one who did surprise though was Melissa McCarthy as Ursula. I mean it folks, she's truly the best out of all them.

Pros

I've got nothing.

While I don't downright hate the movie, I can't recommend any of you to see it. Even if you're a Little Mermaid fan, it's just not worth it.

My final rating is, Bad.

So, that's all for now. Come back on Monday, May 29th, for we'll return to real cinema! With the one and only, Bayformers! Even if that was clearly a joke, ya just know there's people who think I'm 100% serious. But yes, on that day, I'll be reviewing Transformers: The Last Knight. Until then, enjoy the rest of your day.

A Look Back at The Little Mermaid (1989)

NOTE!: AFTER THE REVIEW I'M GONNA TACKLE A MISCONCEPTION ABOUT THIS MOVIE. SO IF YOU'RE INTERESTED, STAY AND READ THAT.

With the live-action remake arriving soon, it's time to once again look back at the classic verison that came first.

The Little Mermaid is an animated musical fantasy film, based on the 1837 Danish story of the same name written by Hans Christian Anderson. It was produced by Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Feature Animation, and Silver Screen Partners IV and distributed by Buena Vista Pictures Distribution. The Little Mermaid was written and directed by Ron Clements and John Musker.

The story is young Ariel has an interest in humans and their world, and even dreams of being. This curiosity doesn't go unnoticed by the evil sea witch Ursula. After a huge fight with her father, Ariel runs off and Ursula makes her a deal. Get the Prince Eric to fall in love with her in three days or she'll go back to being a mermaid. While this is going on, Ursula is planning to put an end to King Triton.

  • Negatives

I've got nothing, so just move on.

  • Mix

Once again, I've got nothing. Keep moving on.

  • Positives

One thing I liked about the movie was the humor. While the primary focus is Ariel's story about exploring the human and eventually falling for Eric, there's still some good jokes. Like that crazy chef going after Sebastian, that's a good moment of slapstick.

Then we've got Ursula. Her characterizing is basically a hunger for power, and it's very entertaining. I forgot how much fun it was seeing her enjoying being evil and loving every moment of it.

I don't know if I can add anything new about the music, it feels like every positive thing said about them as already been said. I completely agree that the songs are timeless classics. I only watched this yesterday to refresh my memory, and I'm still trying to get the melody of 'Under the Sea' out of my head.

Now to my surprise there's quite a bit of development to this story. Such as Ariel and Eric actually building their relationship, or the biggest development of them all, King Triton. The guy went from absolutely hating humans, to the point where nobody, not evening his own daughter [Ariel] is allowed to go to the surface. By the end, he's very much I changed man.

The last thing I'll praise is the animation. Once again, what can I say that hasn't already been said? It's smooth, it's lively, it's colorful, etc. Just check out this classic and perfect shot.

Her movements, the water rising from behind her, the wind blowing in her hair, it's all just...perfect. There's no other word to describe it.

The Little Mermaid is truly a classic, and should be watched not from an animation perspective, but an overall cinematic perspective.

My final rating is, A Must Watch!

The Misconception

So some of you probably know the movie has this unfortunate thing where a lot of people insist that Ariel did everything she did, for the sake of getting herself a man. That's why she gave up her voice and such. If you don't believe me, well let's flashback to 2018 and hear what Keira Knightley has to say.

Yes, much like Knightley there are people who believe this, but they're wrong. Ariel didn't give up her voice because of some man, she did it because of her fixation with the human world. I know this because I watched the movie, and Ariel sung a song about it, and I've got a video with lyrics to prove it.

Now surely you guys both heard and read what she sung. In no part of that song did she mention falling in love and wanting to be with a man. She sung about walking, dancing, and wanting to know why fire burns etc., but no mention of a guy. Even when she makes her deal with Ursula, she didn't do it because of Eric, she did it because of her curiosity. Sure at this point she was in love with him, but she's still mainly focused on the world of humans and wanting to be a human. The reason the love plot played any sort of role was because it was a stipulation made by Ursula. Which horribly backfired because they did wind up actually falling for each other.

So at no point did the movie itself say if ya want your dream man, give up your voice. But do you know who did say Ariel should keep her mouth shut? Do you know who did say men like a woman who's silent? Do you know who said Ariel should use her "body language" to infatuate a man? Ursula! The villain of the movie!

So I hope you enjoyed this review, along with that little something special. I wrote that part down because I'm so tired of hearing that, so I felt like getting it off my chest. Anyhow, that's going to do it for me. Come back on Saturday, May 27th, for my review of the live-action remake of this exact movie. Until then, enjoy the rest of your day.

Fast X Review

NOTE: THERE'S GONNA BE A RANT AT THE END OF THIS. SO IF YOU'RE CURIOUS, READ THAT. IF NOT, YOU'RE MORE THAN WELCOME TO SKIP.

Fast X (aka Fast & Furious 10) is an action movie as well as the sequel to F9, and being the tenth installment of the main Fast & Furious series. It's produced by Universal Pictures, Original Film, One Race Films, Roth/Kirschenbaum Films, and Perfect Storm Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures. Fast X is written by Justin Lin, Dan Mazeau, and Zach Dean and directed by Louis Leterrier.

The story is Dom and his crew have always found a way to outsmart and outdrive every foe from every mission they've been on. However, when the son of an old enemy from the past emerges, Dom must do everything he can to protect his friends and families from a man hellbent on revenge.

Initial Reaction

Having found a huge amount of enjoyment from this franchise, it was only natural that I'd be looking forward to this one. I'm always well aware I'm not gonna get something in the vein of Citizen Kane, but what I do know is to expect something from ridiculous to crazy to somehow something in between those.

Cons

I've got nothing. Just move on.

Middle Ground

One decent thing about the movie was Louis Leterrier's directing. Now don't get me wrong but, he still brought a nice look and style. Cause if you're gonna do a Fast & Furious movie, ya gonna give it some flash. However, there were times when he just didn't need to be flashy. Like there were some drone shots that just didn't feel necessary. It wasn't a crazy amount like when the Russo bros. did it for The Gray Man, but still. Then we have the pacing. I'll say for 98% of the time the pacing is a perfect fast one. But there was a time, and maybe it was just me, but there was a time when things were slow when it shouldn't have. Fast X if I'm remembering this correctly has four major storylines, and think you're only gonna remember three of them. Cause I'll admit, unless the movie cut back to it, I kinda forgot that Letty had her own story going on. Then we have the ending. Basically it's a cliffhanger, and I mean that by the very definition, the movie ends on a cliffhanger. It's actually understandable why they went that direction. Cause this finale is gonna be split into multiple parts, so it does make sense as to why somethings didn't get wrapped up and was left unresolved. But at the same time, the story (or stories in this case) don't end, as much as they're put on the pause. Which really sucks, because we're not getting Fast and Furious 11, until 2025.

Pros

Now let's quickly get this out of the way, yes. Yes the action can get ridiculous, but 1) that's what makes me these movies so much fun. 2) what did everybody expect? This franchise hasn't obeyed to the laws of physics for the longest time. The last thing I'll write about is the performances. Sure our usual cast does a fantastic job, but Jason Momoa truly did steal the show. The audience I saw this with laughed at his more comedic moments, and were always enjoying his villainous moments. And he's clearly having the time of his life in this role, which made it all the more enjoyable watching him on screen.

Fast X isn't perfect by any stretch, however, despite the slight flaws I still had a wonderful time with this. Again, not perfect by any means, but if you're looking for a good popcorn flick, here ya go.

My final rating is, Okay.

The Rant

Okay folks, here's the rant. Now, this rant isn't about this specific movie, or the franchise itself. It's about the critics and a lot of the audience and their reactions to the movie and/or franchise.

Now, if they have any legitimate complaints or criticisms, that would be fine. Because then they're actually having a discussion. But whenever I see people complain about the action, I roll my eyes and ignore whatever else they have to say afterwards.

The reason isn't because I'm a bias fanboy, I also have some issues with this franchise, even though I like it. The reason, the main reason why I'm rolling my eyes and scoffing, is because for the longest time, probably a decade maybe even close to a decade, this franchise has thrown out following the laws of physics. I know it, fans know it, and people who aren't even fans know it. So why is that critics and the other half of the audience don't know this? It's especially annoying because there's a lot of action movies, both new and old, that also don't have a good understanding of psychics, and yet they get praised.

So yeah, there's my rant. People who somehow still expect realistic action in the Fast and Furious movies.

That's all for now. Come back on Thursday, May 25th, for my Look Back at review of the 1989 classic version of, The Little Mermaid. Until then, enjoy the rest of your day.

Road to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem - TMNT Review

TMNT is a computer-animated comic book movie based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the fourth overall installment. It's also the first animated TMNT flick. It was produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, The Weinstein Company, Imagi Animation Studios, and Mirage Studios and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. TMNT was written and directed by Kevin Munroe.

The story is after defeating the Shredder, the Turtles have grown apart and are doing their own thing. They're soon brought together when they learn of a mystical threat, where if all thirteen monsters are captured, a portal from a parallel universe will open and all of the New York will be destroyed, then soon, the rest of the world.

  • Negatives

I've got nothing for this section, just move on to the next part.

  • Mix

The mix bag is the story. Now, I didn't take issues with there being no Shredder or the villain for this movie. I mean the Turtles have fought bad guys both from and not from their comics. My slight issue was it was never explained what exactly made the Turtles split up. I think maybe it was related to the Shredder? He was mentioned in the opening narration, but again, we're never given a full explanation. It's not like the movie had to have a paragraph long dialogue to tell us, they could've just shown us. Show not tell after all.

  • Positives

One thing I liked was the humor. It's not anything groundbreaking, but it works because there wasn't any overabundance of it. And besides, after the third movie's disastrous attempts at comedy, I'll gladly enjoy this one's approach.

What also worked was the action. I forgot how good it was. Some really great fights scene, especially one scene where it was turtle vs. turtle. That one especially had good amount of emotion, drama, and yes, hard hits as well as clashing of weapons.

Funny story to tell. As a kid for some time I didn't like the cast in this. Cause my belief was the voice cast from the 2003 series would voice the characters. But as time went on and I got older, I've come to enjoy this cast. They all fit the characters perfectly. I guess one could argue that Nolan North makes Raphael sound older, but I don't think that's anything to get too bent out of shape about.

The last part I'll write about is the animation. While not the gold standard when it comes to 3D animation, it still manages to be easy on the eyes, there's even times when it can actually be gorgeous. I absolutely loved the rain effect during the turtle vs. turtle fight, that was nicely done and probably the best moment when it came to the animation.

TMNT isn't perfect, but after watching this and looking back at the third movie, I have come to appreciate more than ever. And even if I didn't do a comparison, I would still enjoy it.

My final rating is, Good.

So that's all for now. On Saturday, May 20th, there might be a review for Fast X. I say 'might' cause there could be a chance I'll to push that review back, because I'm helping my dad with his plumping. Until then, enjoy the rest of your day.

Raiders of The Lost Media - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: The Next Mutation

Man, it's been quite awhile since I made one of these. Anyhow, with me finishing up the original TMNT movie franchise, it's time I tell you the story of what would've been the fourth flick in that series.

Part One - What is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: The Next Mutation?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation (or sometimes referred to as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: The Foot Walks Again) was a movie that was meant to be a follow up to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III, before sadly being shelved.

Part Two - The Story

Not much is known about the story expect for a couple of details. The biggest one being that both the turtles and Splinter would've gone through a secondary mutation, which would've given them new abilities. Shredder would've also gone through a mutation all while trying to rebuilt his Foot clan.

Other details for the plot contains adding a fifth turtle to the mix, with his name being Kirby (named after legendary comic book artist Jack Kirby). As of writing this, it hasn't been revealed if Kirby was meant to be an ally or a new enemy. Another detail is the story would've had a darker tone compared to the two previous installments. A Playmates catalogue also hinted at a possible post-apocalyptic dimension, which would explain characters such as "Kasey" and "Evil April".

Part Three - Production History

Somewhere in 1994, the creators of TMNT themselves [Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird] were contacted by the studio to come with potential ideas for a fourth movie. The duo began to conceptualize on the story, which would lead to the mutation plot.

The only other detail that came from the previously mentioned Playmates advertisement, other than saying how they were gonna do your typical merchandise campaign, was that the movie would've been released during the 1996 holiday season.

Part Four - Cancelation

After many years in development hell, the movie was canceled, without given a reason as to why.

Two popular (and very reasonable) theories are, the movie was canceled because of the absolute disastrous critical and financial reception from the third movie. While the second theory states the movie was canceled because it would've been too expensive to produce new costumes and props for newly mutated turtles, especially since the filmmakers wouldn't have had help from Jim Henson's Creature Shop, after they left the franchise when the second movie was released.

Part Five - The Turtles and Splinter's New Forms

Before I go into other details about what remains, I want to tell you about the new powers for the Turtles and Splinter, since that was heavily focused on.

First up is Splinter, he's secondary mutation would've seen him take a more monstrous appearance, he also would've gotten bigger, and was described as a "super rat".

Then we have my favorite ninja turtle, Raphael. As you can see, much like Splinter, his mutation is more monstrous. Which gave sharp claws on his hands and feet, along with sharp teeth as well. And his torso now has a skull look to it, which I really like. Kinda gives off a Punisher vibe.

Now we move on to my second favorite, Michaelangelo. At first glance it seems the only change he went through was his fashion sense, but I think that's kind of the point. Because his mutation would've allowed him to change into a more human-like appearance. So the street clothes make sense.

Next up is Leonardo. Again it doesn't seem like he's changed at all, but again they [Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird] weren't going for anything crazy like they did with Splinter and Raph. He's mutation would've allowed him to morph his skin into something resembling chrome and would've been impenetrable.

Lastly we have Donatello. Not only did they give him something that looks like it resembles military gear, but he's secondary mutation would've given him telepathic powers, but in doing so it would've given him poor eyesight, which explains why his goggles also have a glasses appearance to them.

Part Six - Scripts and Concept Art

On May 11th, 2012, an online auction was held, one of the items were three scripts for the movie. To this day, none of them have been released to the public.

There's a lot more concept art then what I'm showing, I just didn't put it on because I wanted to focus on stuff I previously wrote. But if you're curious, ComicAlliance has a lot for you to view.

Part Seven - Possible Tributes?

While the movie was never made, some bits and pieces were spread out in the other parts of the TMNT franchise. Whether theses were intentionally or not is up for debate.

Firstly, the less than stellar (and I'm being nice when I say that) Ninja Turtles live-action TV series, uses the movie's subtitle.

In the ninth season of the 1987's animated series, in episode four titled 'The New Mutation', the turtles go through a mutation and all of their appearances look to be very close to Raphael's.

Lastly and I could be wrong here, but in the 2014 reboot movie series, Donnie in those movies is sporting glasses and is wearing some tech, which does kinda makes him look similar to the Donnie in the Next Mutation.

Well guys, I hope you enjoyed that. Please come back on Thursday, May 18th, for my review of the 2007's animated movie, TMNT. Until then, enjoy the rest of your day.

Titans - The Final Season Review

Titans is a streaming tv series that was created by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti. It was produced by Weed Road Pictures, Berlanti Productions, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Television and distributed by Warner Bros. Television Distribution. This is the fourth and final season and it has twelve episodes, which brings the show's total episode count to forty-nine.

The story is after saving Gotham, the Titans are enjoying their free time celebrating another victory. They think things are gonna get better when they travel to Metropolis and go to Star Labs in not only the hopes of meeting Superman, but test out what else they can do. These happy times are soon cut short when they discover a sinister cult using dark magic. Now, the Titans must find out what this cult's endgame is, and hope they can stop them.

  • Negatives

I've got nothing. Just scroll down.

  • Mix

Now I'll keep this part short, but the CGI is decent at best. One half it looks pretty good, other times it's just wasn't believable.

The other gray area is the character development. The best part comes from the likes of Starfire, Superboy, and Beast Boy. Starfire has to learn about her new powers and her being part of a prophecy. Superboy is struggling with the being a clone of both Superman and Lex Luthor, are trying to figure who he's more like. Beast Boy gets to go on a journey where he learns there's more to him than what he thought. I would've gone into more detail, but some of you probably didn't see every episode just yet. Now because I didn't mention Nightwing and Raven you probably think they had it worse, but no, the worst goes to Tim Drake/Robin. Once he gets his bo staff you'd think we'd get major focus on him becoming Robin. But we didn't get that. In matter of fact, Tim barely goes through any intense training. He mostly just takes orders from Nightwing, gets confused about the magic stuff, or is in a romance storyline with Bernard (regardless of your own sexuality, if you hated that change in the comics, you're gonna hate it here). So when he finally does become Robin, it's not the big epic moment we were all hoping for, because the story itself didn't properly set that up.

  • Positives

Now for some positivity and one of those goes to the cult (and yes they do have a name, I'm just trying my best not to spoil anything), or maybe the whole dark magic thing in general. While we do get magic with Raven and some of that stuff was used in season three, here it goes full force. So it was a little creepy seeing how this cult works, and see what their magic does. Sometimes we just go into horror movie territory.

Then there's the action. There's definitely an improvement here from the last season. In fact, Dick [Nightwing] gets a pretty cool fight scene inside a chruch. I was actually looking forward to the next action sequence, as suppose to crossing my fingers and hope for something at least decent.

With this show the finales are pretty much all over the place. They can be okay like season one's was, season three's actually worked, and season two's was laughably bad. Thankfully season four went the route of a season three finale. Everything got wrapped up, and I thought the characters went where I think fans might appreciate.

The final season wasn't perfect, but at least it didn't end on a terrible note.

My final rating is, Okay.

That's all for now. Come back on Monday, May 15th, for a brand new Raiders of The Lost Media. For that I'll be telling you all about a canceled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Until then, enjoy the rest of your day.

Underrated Films - What About Bob?

What About Bob? is a black comedy movie. It was produced by Touchstone Pictures and Touchwood Pacific Partners and distributed by Buena Vista Pictures Distribution. What About Bob? was written by Tom Schulman, Alvin Sargent, and Laura Ziskin and directed by Frank Oz.

The story is Bob suffers from multiple phobias which makes seek constant reassurance from his therapist. Feeling exhausted, his current therapist assigns him to egotistical Dr. Leo Marvin. Having a successful initial session, Bob follows Leo to his family vacation. While his family befriends Bob, Leo on the other hand feel like he's gonna be pushed over the edge.

Why It's Underrated?

Be honest with me, has anybody ever heard of this movie before you read this review? If you said no, then I don't blame you. I didn't know of this movie's existence until I watched a video from FanboyFlicks when he was reviewing Clifford. And after watching this, I got to wonder why this doesn't get more attention? It's criminal how this just goes under everybody's radar.

My Thoughts

Now, even though I really did like this movie, there is one bad and one decent thing about it. The bad one is the score. It's pretty forgettable, and whenever I do remember it, a lot of the music just seems to have an adorable vibe to it. Not really the best given this kind of flick.

The decent thing is the other characters. While I didn't hate any of them, there really wasn't much outside of their standard roles. If it wasn't for them adding to the comedy they easily could've been the second worst thing about the movie.

Alright, now that I got the bad or decent stuff out of the way, let me tell you about the great, one of those being Bob and Leo's character development. While we see Bob change for the better, and in way that doesn't beat the audience over the head, we also see how Leo changes. And oh boy, it's kind of hilarious to see just how much this guy loses it.

What the movie also has going for it is Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss' performances. Their chemistry really carried the whole movie but, even when they're not on-screen together they're still entertaining. It's no surprise that Murray does his usual job of being good with comedy, but so does Dreyfuss. Typically he's known for more serious roles, so seeing him do a comedy one was not only surprising, but he did great.

The last thing I'll praise is the humor. I won't go into too much detail because it'll spoil the movie, but this was very much a funny movie. I almost felt like I was watching a real life cartoon. Even though I said I wasn't gonna give away spoilers, I will end this review with an out of context clip.

While I did mention the issues, I think the good, for the most part out weights the bad. That's why my final rating is, Good.

That's all for now. Come back on Saturday, May 13th, for my review of the final season of DC's Titans. Until then, enjoy the rest of your day.
